Electrochemical synthesis and investigation of nano MnO2 electrode material for supercapacitor application

MnO2 metal oxide electrode material is synthesized by simple electrodeposition method on stainless steel substrate. The crystal structure and surface morphological characterizations of the obtained are carried out using X-ray diffraction (XRD) technique Field Emission-Scanning Electron Microscopy (FE-SEM) respectively. FE-SEM micrographs show highly porous well developed interconnected uniform nanosphere like morphology. electrochemical properties Cyclic Voltammetry (CV), Galvanostatic Charge-Discharge (GCD) Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy (EIS) etc studied in a 0.5 M Na2SO4 solution as electrolyte. maximum specific capacitance 543 F/g at scan rate 5 mVs-1 from cyclic voltammetry (CV). stability investigated for 1000 cycles. exhibits good cycling cycles rate100 mVs-1. values energy density power charge-discharge studies. From all electrode, it indicates that will be promising supercapacitor application.
